Roycroft Lamps

Roycroft was the name of a reformist community of skilled artisans living in New York during the Arts and Crafts movement in the United States. Roycrofters, as the participants were called, crafted unique table lamps in addition to furniture and other various items.

Roycroft lamps have a very distinctive style. Lamps made by Roycroft are generally made of copper with domed shades and mica inserts. Some of the smaller lamps are referred to as ‘helmet lamps’ because of their hammered metal top and lack of glass parts. Roycroft lamps with original glass shades are rare and very desirable. A genuine Roycroft lamp in good condition can be worth several hundred to several thousand dollars.
